4 Things This Monday: Chicago Is A Mess, Biden's Camp Lied Again, Black Women & Their Large Egos, LDS Is Real

“Eventually, I think Chicago will be the most beautiful great city left in the world.”

  • Frank Lloyd Wright

1) Can it get any worse in Chicago?

We are a long way off from Frank Wright’s prediction coming true. The Windy City, which has always had a cloud of corruption hovering over it, is now in utter disarray. Chicago is coming off another violent weekend: 36 people shot, 7 fatally including a 15-year-old. The violence is not isolated to one part of the city, either. It is all over the city: Englewood, North Sacramento Boulevard, West Walton Street, Millard Avenue, Little Village, Calumet Heights, Dunning.

As the violence increases, reportedly the taxes will as well. Mayor Lori Lightfoot is considering raising taxes in several areas to help pay down the $1.2 billion deficit. Tax increases include, but are not limited to, a $94 million property tax increase, raises in the gas tax and potential layoffs. This is on top of the Cloud Tax that was raised at the beginning of this year and the potential for the Illinois “Fair” Tax on the horizon.

Despite all of this ugliness, Chicagoans still pledge their allegiance to the dysfunctional Democrat party. Lightfoot still holds an approval rating of nearly 80%.

There are many dark days ahead for The Second City.

2) Biden’s campaign warns its supporters that the poll numbers are inflated

"The reality is that this race is far closer than some of the punditry we're seeing on Twitter and on TV would suggest. In the key battleground states where this election will be decided, we remain neck and neck with Donald Trump.” These are the words of Joe Biden campaign manager Jennifer O’Malley Dillon.

In a recent Marist poll, Biden held a 54% to 43% advantage over President Trump. The poll also suggests that Biden has a lead among White voters at 51%, which is the highest for a Democrat since Jimmy Carter in 1976. Biden still has a stranglehold over Black voters as 85% say they would vote for any Democrat candidate over Trump. The former Vice President also has the majority of support from Latinos, women, college-educated Whites, young adults (age 18-29) and independents.

However, with misinformation and censoring tactics running amok from media conglomerates and Silicon Valley tech giants, how truthful is any of this poll information? Have they been lying to the public this entire time? Dillon might have answered “Yes” to that question.

3) Some Black women are power-hungry

Rutgers University professor and feminist Brittney Cooper, who once said that President Trump is to blame for the high obesity rates in Black women, is illustrating how big (pun intended) the ego of the Black woman has gotten.

Last week she tweeted:

In plain, non-feminist English, Cooper feels that Black men should vote the way Black women vote. Perhaps it is because nearly 80% of Blacks are born and raised in single-mother households, or maybe it is because of the universal shift that has taken place where women have become more masculine and domineering, but Black women seem to think they own Black men.

A sex strike, while effective in other countries in different circumstances, is not a viable solution here. If a Black man who plans to vote for Trump has sex withheld from him by his Black partner, he will fulfill his natural urges elsewhere. Black women withholding sex is not only arrogant, but it would lead to increased divorce rates, more interracial dating and higher rates of single and unmarried Black women.

This would also lead to higher obesity rates in Black women. So, on second thought, maybe Cooper was on to something.

4) LDS (or LeBron Derangement Syndrome) is real

Since LeBron James won his 4th NBA Championship, the swarms of Michael Jordan sycophants defending his title of basketball’s GOAT is nearing critical mass. The stat being thrown around the most is their Finals records: MJ is 6-0, LBJ is 4-6. It is a fair argument, but let’s not understate the accomplishment of LeBron getting the Finals 4 more times than Mike did. 5 of those Finals losses came to dynasties: 2 vs. the Spurs and 3 vs. the Warriors. But the MJ fans continue to scream “6-0, 6-0” from the high heavens.

Then there is this infographic:

Once again, underselling Michael’s cast and overselling LeBron’s.

The author of this image conveniently omitted that Michael was coached by one of the best coaches in all of professional sports, Phil Jackson. Going through Jordan’s top teammates, Pippen is a Hall-of-Famer, so is Rodman, Grant was a versatile player and was a key component to the first three-peat, Kerr was the league’s best three-point shooter and Kukoc was the league’s best European player at the time.

LeBron never played for a coach as great as Phil. Erik Spoelstra is great, but he is no Phil Jackson. Running through LBJ’s list of teammates, Wade is a Hall-of-Famer, Davis has played one season with LeBron thus far, Irving is an elite talent but still has not lived up to his potential, Bosh was a glorified role player in Miami, Love is trash (I don’t care if he is a 5x All-Star), Allen was long past his prime by the time he played with Bron and Ilgauskas is in the Hall-of-Very-Good.

For all of the NBA fans with LDS, please get eight hours of sleep, drink plenty of water, get laid and watch something other than The Last Dance.
